Good Product
The unit has been installed for some time now. It works pretty good. Hardly a delay in the alarm going through a stucco house. I did have a couple of false alarms. I though maybe it was a lizard sitting on it or the bushes near it moving with the hard winds we were having. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that it says the base will last 3 days without a charge. I don’t believe mine will make it that long. but it’s not a deal breaker. Setting it up was easy.

Finaly better alert sounds in one of these type devices…..
I have been sick of hearing the “William Tell Overture” played over and over on false alerts due to wind, deer and other animals around my yard. This company’s devices all have great sounds or messages you can set to which won’t annoy the hell out of you so they wind up back in the box on a shelf. Also connects to my smart phone for alerts and setting this way to (can select the sounds quicker/easier via the phone, vs. pushing a button over 50 times). I had a base station that wouldn’t connect, but the company quickly replaced that for me. Love these products and they work well and have the sort of user friendly features I sought out. The sensor is solar charge and the base station has a battery so you can walk around with it to trigger/pair the sensors to channels. Very thoughtful of the designer. Also can carry the base station while mowing (I can hear it) and out to the back yard or shed and be alerted when I’m mobile that way doing chores. Great pricing and Hosmart is just that very smart! Almost great…
Almost great….I have the new version HS006W as my first system. Some things to get out of the way…this is a PIR motion sensor…it triggers off heat and motion. It does NOT go through walls as some of the other reviewers have mentioned as it is line of sight and the two sensor distance sensitivity distances are accurate. I have six sensors around my home and aside from a flying bug close to the sensor lens it will trigger it if having heat/motion relative difference to the surrounding temperature. It has not triggered on rain or tree leaves moving which is great. It is also my understanding that if your neighbor with the same unit and within range of your system you will pick up his motion also. I don’t believe there are any channel offsets that code with that in mind. The base system blue light stays on all the time and is VERY bright. I put dimmer stickers on them so as to not blind me at night. Would be nice to only have the zone light up when something is detected…rather it stays on and only flashes and makes the noise when something is detected.I have tested almost every feature function other than the Share Device/Home (don’t have a need for) feature and it all works EXCEPT for the scheduling feature in the app. For the life of me I can’t make it work. I can program schedules but it will not transmit when a scheduled time action happens. Not sure if something needs to be enabled on the phone to make it work but I tried with the app open, with and without bluetooth/location on/off but nothing will make it work so far. I can manually turn off a sensor which is good but just not through the scheduling. I am still working with the tech support in China and will update when fixed….Update on the scheduling feature…Support is aware of this issue and will need to correct with the next software release…Seems to be something with the time zones effecting when it will trigger. I can schedule but have to add a 12 hour plus ahead for it to work. Not so much a deal breaker but I just think it would be cool to turn on/off the sensors like in the daytime when I have no need for it.For the price I am very happy so far with this system and all things considered…a good purchase.

Support is non existent – Do not buy this item.
It certainly works for alerting that something is in the driveway, but it just goes bonkers with the alerts every 1-2 seconds “DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY, DRIVEWAY” just over and over and over and over again until I am forced to turn off the alarm feature if someone in the family is just getting out of their car and then getting groceries out of the trunk or whatever. I have been begging for help from their support email asking if we can make it so it only alerts every 30 seconds or so, and I have yet to hear a peep back from them. I am thinking of just tossing this unit and getting a better one that A) Has a ‘cooldown’ feature on alerts and B) Has actual support people who care about the product they are selling. For now, I would not recommend this unit to purchase until they figure it out otherwise you turn it off to avoid all the incoming alerts, and then forget to arm it again and now you have no idea when someone is in your driveway.
