I love these so much!! Im slowly changing all my bulbs to these. I find these easier to pair and work with Apple HomeKit than the newer ones with hue

As good as Hue at a fraction of the price
We’ve had a Philips Hue system in our house for many years, and it’s terrific, but it’s limited. You have to use bridges (which fill up eventually if you have too many bulbs and devices).I was really happy to see these bulbs. They pretty much act precisely as the full color Hue bulbs, but you don’t need a bridge. You can use the Wiz app (which is ok), and/or connect to an alternate system like Amazon Alexa through Matter. I went the route of using both the Wiz app and Alexa, and although I did have some frustration getting Matter to work with Alexa, once I got it going it works flawlessly.Even beyond the convenience of the smart home connection, the bulbs are great…awesome actually. As with the Hue bulbs, the colors are beautiful and the whites are perfect. Couple that with the fact that this bulb will last for decades, and you get a great deal.Although I’m not going to get rid of my Hue system because we have over 100 bulbs attached to multiple bridges, as I need to add new lights I will be going with these bulbs. Same quality, easier connection, and about a quarter of the price…hard to think of a reason why NOT!

Longtime Philips HUE lighting user, this is a better alternative.
I’ve used Philips HUE lights for approximately a decade now, and while there’s a lot to love about them (great user interface on the HUE app, lots of preset modes, a wide variety of settings, user friendly ability to customize scenes, individual lights, wakeup and nightly wind down modes, etc.) I was disappointed by its lack of consistency in the bulbs.I often would have one go off network, or when setting my room to nightlight (dark orange) some would suddenly turn green. It required a whole hard reset, and I even had a couple of lights burn out relatively early. This was pretty annoying to me considering how expensive they were.Here’s what I like about these A19 bulbs as a viable replacement to the HUE bulbs:- More affordable- They can connect via Bluetooth AND Wi-Fi, so if your internet goes down you’re fine- Still plenty of ability to customize- The week I have run these bulbs there’s been no issueWhat could be better:- I wish all Philips lights just integrated under the same HUE appThis is a 5/5 product. Highly recommended.

I am using the Philips Smart LED Full Color Light Bulbs with lamps I have on two nightstands and with a lamp in the living room. I am using the bulbs with the Wiz Connected iOS app and have also linked the bulbs to Alexa via Wiz Connected. I had no trouble installing and configuring the Wiz Connected app for use with the bulbs and likewise had no issue configuring an Alexa skill to work with the bulbs.There are a number of things I really like about these bulbs: most important, no separate hub or other type of separate hardware controller is needed for these bulbs to operate from a phone; the multi-color support is great — these are not bulbs supporting only a single color temperature – the bulbs support a wide range of colors and scenes; the Wiz Connected app is free – no purchase fee nor monthly fee; the multi-color support is great — these are not bulbs supporting only a single color temperature – the bulbs support a wide range of colors as well as scenes supporting dynamic color changes; the Wiz Connect app has support for many different lighting scenarios, plus custom scenarios and the app is easy to install and configure.The bulbs are a bit on the expensive side compared to single-color LED bulbs, but the extra features in these bulbs are well worth the price. These are great multi-color LED bulbs!

Nifty Full Feature LED Bulbs
This pack of 4-60 watt bulbs work as regular bulbs in a socket.In order to access the other feature, color change, voice command, motion sensor, the WizApp, which requires in app purchases, must be installed.I’m sure WizApp works great, however the app requires too much personal information for my liking. There are additional messages which require responses. This is the reason I did not access the other features.It’s unfortunate to me that so many electronics require apps nowadays.As for light bulbs, they are perfectly bright enough for my home. They draw less power so they last longer. Because they are LED bulbs the long term cost for use is economical.The bulbs are shatter safe. The material they are made from is plastic like. I had dropped one on the floor and it did not break or shatter. This is a very likable feature, especially with children and pets.The price of these lightbulbs, is rather pricey. However, if all the features are used then this is most definitely a good price.Thanks for reading my review.

Great Concept, but I Couldn’t Get Them Connected… Probably “operator error.”
As you can see in the photo, these bulbs have a standard base that should fit most lamps, though the bulb itself is on the smaller side — which actually makes them a nice option for smaller lamps and fixtures. (See photo showing the bulb I removed from our living room lamp next to the smaller, new bulb.)I was genuinely excited to add these to our home, but unfortunately, I was never able to get them connected to our wireless network or working through the app. That said, I don’t think the bulbs are necessarily at fault — I’ve successfully set up multiple Echo devices, a different brand of smart bulb, a wireless camera, a smart fan, and more, so I’m reasonably comfortable with this kind of installation. Something about these particular bulbs just wouldn’t cooperate for me, and I was never able to sort out why… yet.Your experience may be completely different, and they may work beautifully right out of the box — which is exactly why I landed on three stars rather than one. The concept is solid, and I’d encourage you to give them a try if you’re interested. You may experience a completely different/easier setup process.
