How does the camera store videos?
You have two options: you can use a micro SD card (sold separately), or you can subscribe to cloud storage through the ‘HOME V’ app.
Do I need a subscription to use the camera?
Nope, a subscription isn’t necessary! All the essential features are free to use, and most of our customers enjoy the camera without any extra costs. Subscriptions are only needed for a few premium features.
Is this battery powered?
No. XD1 is a plug-in WiFi camera and must be connected to a power outlet to work. It is not battery powered.
Does this camera work with 5 GHz Wi‑Fi or 5G?
No. The XD1 supports 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi only (802.11 b/g/n). It does not support 5 GHz Wi‑Fi, and it’s not related to 5G cellular. During setup, connect your phone to a 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network and then add the camera in the app.

Great value, easy to use
Easy to install and mount on the wall. Video quality is good during the day, and night vision works fine. Motion alerts are helpful and give peace of mind.The app sometimes takes a few seconds to load, and the audio could be better, but overall it’s a solid and affordable indoor camera.

This unit is a work of art. It works great and does everything you can ask of it except work under water at least I haven’t attempted that yet. It works in a dark attic once you get the power to plug it in. And it works as a tool to monitor an indoor swimming pool. It has the ability to talk with an intruder or a friend with good sound. It has cat and dog sounds and you can even put your own voice on it using the alarm setting. I use 4 units and can view them on my phone and iPad you can even set it up to view 2 units at once.Now I have dropped the unit from my attic to the floor below and the unit still works.Some times you have to reset especially when you change locations but not always.Now the app is great and they update it too. They added the dog and cat sounds recently. You have to be sure your WiFi is set on your phone or iPad to a 2.4 GHz line or it will lose connection. I think this is what you see with the WiFi complaints they are most likely using 5GHz lines not 2.4GHz.I have been using my 4 units since October and I have had zero problems once I read the directions and watched the video. The reset is something you need to read carefully!!! And if it don’t reset turn it off unplug it and let it sit for an hour and then try to add it to you app. I think the battery in the unit has to totally shut off to do the reset.Yes I plan to buy 2 more soon. Once you add the video microSD memory disk you can search back for days and look at activities it’s great for finding critters moving around in your attic. The night vision is fantastic . And you can scroll around the room using the top camera. The bottom one is fixed and make sure you set it away from bright light and powerful sun light. That goes for color and night vision. If you want color at night just put an inexpensive night light some distance behind your camera.Yes when talking you have a short lag time but you get used to it pretty fast. It’s about a second or less.Also if you want to hear and talk to people using the camera make sure your phone or iPad has the volume turned on because they will hear you. However you won’t hear them if you don’t. You can turn sound on or off on the unit too. The app has all types of features and almost all of them are free and work very well. You can hook up to a cloud service for a price. I also have the MyQ garage system and I wish they were set up as good as this camera app unit but that’s another story.Update 12/12/2025 I added a photo of the night vision in a dark no light attic and yes it’s watching for insects and other critters. If you look at the bottom line you will see a time and date stamp and the red line is activity found at that time and date. If I added light in the background it will flip to color automatically if you read the instructions and set it up correctly.

easy to setup. great features. love the dual camera = permanent view and a tracking pan, tilt and zoom. Great HD video to watch the dogs while away, and any intrusions into your home. Tracks, people, pets and vehicles. allows you to listen in and talk to your pets. multiple alarms and video notifications. love the feature to watch videos on google tv. most importantly the flashing green light tells you it’s on and when in privacy mode, the PTZ camera turns away, and everything goes dark. I would swap out all my outdoor cameras for these if they were waterproof.

This camera is AMAZING! I love how i can have it faced one way and able to move it (can see 2 different areas) I enjoy being able to talk to my dog through it when I am away from him. We installed them today and they work great! Camera and sound is perfect. It.will help.me so much. My 87 years old mum live with us, she is very independent but this week she fainted in her room and we don’t know how long she was there until I checked on her. Thanks God she is ok but now I will be able to see.hee in her room and kitchen area where she usually stays. Thank you. There are many cameras.out there but ai guarantee you will be happy getting this one.

I purchased this camera a little less than a month ago, it is super quick and easy to install with WiFi. This camera serves my basic needs that being recording in my home. I do like that it records well in the dark and captures sound I can easily see my pets. Some things to note are that the app may take a while to load to access the home page and may glitch, another thing I noticed that for me was odd was that I would leave the cameras positioned one way but when I would return to the app the camera would be facing the other way as well getting stuck a few times I am not sure why that is but is has happened many times and I am the only one with access to it. Other than that I would purchase again!

Per ora funziona bene.Qualità video buona, anche al buio.Una volta scaricata la sua app si installa facilmente seguendo i vari passi, il tutto in circa 2 minuti.Non servono abbonamenti vari come leggevo qui e là…Ovviamente c’è anche l’opzione per ribaltare l’immagine se viene montata al contrario, tengo a precisarlo perchè qualcuno/a affermava non si potesse fare, bastava guardare un pò meglio le impostazioni…
