The Youkey video doorbell is easy to install and very practical. The image is clear, even at night, and you can see everything from your phone. It sounds good and detects motion, which provides added security. The only downside is that it relies on Wi-F but overall it works very well.

Works ok but there are 3 things I wish I knew before buying…
Im happy with the device except for 3 things. I wish I knew this information before I bought this device.1. Motion detection. Not the best for sure. It’s spotty unless a person is right in front of the camera.. Sometimes it catches them, sometimes it doesn’t. The whole point is motion detection and catching anything suspicious so I’m not very happy with that part of it. I’m hoping they will update this via software and send a better version out.2. Connectivity. I literally have my modem 10 feet away and there’s a lag. I have addressed this both through the technical side of the modem and the device. Nothing else lags as I have the fastest internet in the state, but this doorbell still lags. So when it comes to a live interaction, you may have to wait for your live screen to catch up. It’s annoying.3. The size of this device is much larger than others. My neighbor has a Ring device. It’s bulky and I don’t live that it sticks out like a sore thumb instead of giving an inconspicuous look blending in.I haven’t had another doorbell camera so I don’t know how it compares to others. The picture is good and I like the night vision in color which is the big reason I purchased it to begin with. Not sure it was worth the money compared to others. I think I’m going to buy a cheap one for the back door and see how it compares. I’ll update this when I do. Hope this helps.

Excellent Video Quality and Easy Setup
I am very impressed with this wireless doorbell camera. The installation was incredibly simple and took only a few minutes. The video quality is sharp, both during the day and at night. The motion detection works perfectly, and I love getting instant alerts on my phone

What a GREAT doorbell camera this is. First thing to say is that I have absolutely NO connection with this product other than to give the product my own personal review folloiwng its purchase. I bought this following issues I was having with my previous well known brand name doorbell camera, and I cannot be more happy with my youkey doorbell camera. Upon opening its quality was quite apparant as it is extremely well made. Setting up is fairly easy, linking it up with my home wifi and away from home, via my email and internet provider where on my mobile phone I will receive a message that someone is/has come within the camera visual distance settings so I can see who abd if required speak with them. Within the youkey doorbell camera SETTINGS there are a whole bunch of choices you can choose from which are too numerous to go through so please check the settings in the doorbell unit and choose what you want from the many choices. One setting I like is the amount of battery that there is left before you may need to charge it [charging is very easy] however with more than 2 weeks use I have only used 3 per cent of the hundred. My previous doorbell camera did not show battery percentage and would literally just stop working without warning., The Picture quality is excellent and the double camera view, one distant and one on doorstep, is great. Night vision is great. Also Nnce if you want to, that you can speak to anyone at the door who rings. Also love, and visitors have also very much volunteered said the same thing, that when dark and someone comes within doorbell buttons distance, that two quite little but bright lights on the bottom of the doorbell come on to light doorstep and doorbell , extra lights on the bell push itself come on to show where to press. So personally all I can say is that based on my experience I would very much recommended this product and its excellent qualities.

I first heard about the Youkey doorbell back in May through my favourite YouTuber–Paul Hibbert. He was honest about both the strengths and the issues, and what impressed me was that Youkey actually took his feedback seriously, fixed the problems and only then relaunched the product. Paul even described them as one of the most responsible brands he’s worked with.After seeing that the updated version was back on sale in December, I decided to give it a go myself.The packaging is excellent – sturdy, well designed and better than most similar products I’ve tried. Everything was well protected and the box includes all the essentials: the doorbell, chime and mounting accessories.Setup was quick and painless thanks to 5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth pairing, noticeably faster than my experience with Ring. The app is clean and easy to use, with no confusing settings. I also really like that it has built-in 8GB storage and free AI features such as package and human detection, with no subscription required.The only drawback is the lack of a printed manual. Customer support explained that instructions are provided digitally for environmental reasons and were very helpful during setup. I suggested a paper guide would still be useful, and they confirmed one is planned, expected around Q2 2026.Overall, it’s refreshing to see a brand that genuinely listens to customers. As Paul said, Youkey feels responsible and trustworthy, and I’d happily recommend it.
