Best value smart water leak detection valve
I had been looking around for a long time to get a smart valve to monitor my water lines leaks at home. This smart valve shows up on my search in June 2025 and find out to be the one I want. The price is much lower than others and has most of the things I wanted. The unit was purchased in July and installed on August 7.Installation is easy but not for those who don’t know anything about plumbing. You will have to get a plumber to get it installed. A power outlet nearby is also required to charge the battery. The installation instructions recommend you to install a bypass valve, I think mainly because there is no way to open or close the valve when the unit fails. The WiFi setup is simple and easy. I had it connected for three months and never get dropped off.The setup manual come with the unit is very difficult to understand, when I email support they send me a much detail manual. Tech support is very helpful and they will follow-up to make sure your problem is solved. The unit comes with a display on the valve which is backed up by a battery. I left the unit on for a month without connecting to a charger, after a month the battery is still indicate that it is fully charge. I have no idea how long the battery will last without connecting to a power supply. Nothing is shown on the manual on how to replace the battery when it fails.I like the app that shows me daily, last 24 hours, last 7 days and monthly usage. It also display water temperature and pressure. For the last three months I had kept records of my daily usage to compare with the city water meter and they are very accurate and close. The best part is that it uses ultrasonic to measure water flow and consumption so there is no moving parts to get wear out or damage.I like the water pressure indicator it can also helped me to monitor if my pressure regulator or expansion tank are working properly. (After installing the unit, I discovered my pressure regulator is not working properly and needs to be repaired).I have set my leak monitor to mode 1 and it had never turn off water supply when having a shower. I had done several test to simulate a dripping leak and a pipe break leak and the unit shut off by itself without any problems. I would strongly recommend to set it at mode 1 first and set your protection to be off during the hours when your sprinkler system is on.When not at home for a longer period, I will recommend to set your system to mode 4 and control water flow consumption at 20 gallon and allow continue flow at 0.3hrs. (Valve will shutoff once it reach 20 gallons in a short period of time and if it detect a small continuous flow of over 0.3hrs) This will reduce water damage to the minimum if there is a leak. The unit is not able to detect leaks that is lower than 0.001 gpm, which is a very slow drip from the faucet.I also like that I can now remotely turn off water supply to fix household plumbing work vs shutting off from the meter main.I hope they can include the following on their next app upgrade:-1. Allows to download usage data.2. Allows to interface with other device for settings.3. Storage of water pressure dataI highly recommend this device to anyone. The unit will payoff by itself when it stops one of your major leak i.e. a broken sprinkler valve or pipe. This had happened to me numbers of times in the past years. Landscaping water just kept running through out the night because of a broken sprinkler valve or pipe, until I discovered it the next morning, it is already too late. My water bill on that month goes up for more than $250.I will continue monitoring the function and reliable of the unit and update after 1 year of operation.

One of the best products I have ever installed! Great peace of mind!!!
I did a self-install and it went in very easy. I have now had it for about two months and am very pleased with it. It sends out alert if it detects or thinks it detects a leak. This then can be overridden once you confirm no leaks. It has alarmed twice so far, once when we restarted our water softener and second when we installed a reverse Osmose system. So, I know it works. You also can go on the app and review water usage by day and by hour. very nice product!Update! Have now had this unit installed for about 8 months and love it. It gives me such peace of mind when we leave for an extended period. It has notified me four times of water leaks. Three times a toilet was running and once a grandchild left a faucet slightly open. It notified me via phone and local alarm each time. Two of those times I was not home and this unit shut off the house water. The other two I responded and told the valve to stay open as I had found the issue. It truly is a great peace of mind product and well worth the money!!!!

Well made, with a nice (and free!) app to control it worldwide
I’m a home-automation nut, with literally hundreds of “things” that I can control and automate throughout my house. I travel a LOT and it’s comforting to know that I can turn things on/off, unlock/lock doors, control temperatures, irrigation, blinds, etc. etc. while away. So I already had a whole-home water shutoff valve, controlled by my home automation. But that valve eventually stopped working after 15-ish years and it was time for a replacement. I did some research and chose this Frizzlife unit.Glad I did. It’s solidly made, and the app works well. The valve control integrates into the SmartHome app, which I already knew — as it’s used to control some motorized patio shades. And if you want to integrate it into some other control, it uses the popular Tuya API. So I should be able to have my existing home automation system initiate the valve closing when I go away and open it again when I return. (I haven’t done that yet, as I have 101 other things on the go. Meanwhile, it’s easy enough to open the SmartHome app on my iPhone to close or open the valve.)It takes a while (like 20 seconds) to fully close, but it does seal completely — zero water leaks through it. You can configure it to automatically turn off the valve if it detects a major leak for a period of time — with the amount of water and length of time easily configurable. For me, the default leak detection setting works well.It was relatively easy to install, and when I had a question about orientation, the Frizzlife support folks responded with the wanted information within a few hours. Great service! One very useful feature for MY specific installation is that you can easily swap the INLET and OUTLET sides, just by a few button presses on the unit. This is well documented … as is ALL of the documentation. All in all, a solid five stars. Don’t hesitate to buy it.

Frizzlife Smart Water Monitor and Shutoff Is A Should Have Investment
This item deserves to be in your home. It is a high quality, economically priced, and easily set up small footprint device that can be your insurance against a plumbing leak failure in your domestic water distribution system. The set up and use of the app to monitor the system is easy to understand. A bonus is the device maintains a log of all the water entering into your home through your main supply line. I wish it was available 15 years ago. If I had it installed back then when I had major water leak that caused significant damage and a large water bill for all that wasted water .The directions and owners manual are easy to follow. I ordered the LP365-P unit since I also wanted to be able to monitor the water pressure along with the basic water flow rate, temperature and consumption.

it is early days, but so far the product works as advertised. Time will tell how well it stands up to the task. That said, here is what I can share: the product arrived on time, well packaged, with extra seal rings (thank you!) and plenty of teflon tape. The quick start guide was quite useful, and the full manual also very helpful. I constructed a manifold which allowed for the water monitor and a by-pass line with a ball valve. I added an additional ball valve above/after the smart valve (as well as the one below/before). This allowed me to cut the water supply side as well as the load side and remove the value should I have to service it in the future. Of course the manifold also has the bypass line with it’s own cutoff valve. The manifold made installation relatively easy and kept water flow disruption to a minimum. Connecting to WiFi and configuring via teh mobile app (I used the android version) was fast and easy, adn I know can monitor ny water system. I will, in the future configure a time zone for when my sprinkler is running, so that does not trigger an alert. So….so far so good.

We have old Poly-B plumbing that needs to be replaced as soon as possible, but in the meantime, we wanted some peace of mind to help prevent leaks. After researching and comparing several options, we narrowed it down to two: this product and the Moen Flo.This device is about half the price of the Moen Flo yet offers most of the same key features. The main reason we chose it over Moen is its Ultrasonic Leak Detection technology, whereas Moen relies on a turbine test, which is known to have issues over time. The ultrasonic method feels more reliable and less prone to mechanical wear.Overall, this product gave us the balance of price, features, and reliability we were looking for—and it has provided extra peace of mind while we work on replacing our plumbing.Pros:Half the price of Moen Flo with most key featuresUltrasonic Leak Detection (no moving parts, less wear)Reliable leak monitoring for peace of mindEasy to set up and start usingCons:App functionality is more basic compared to Moen’s—less detailed data and insights

I bought the Frizzlife LP365-P from Amazon as a final element to turn off the main water supply to my house in the event of a leak. I integrated this amazing water-shutoff valve and flowmeter into my home assistant setup. Its ability to shut-off my water in the event of either flowing too much volume, or sensing continuous flow for too long is protecting my home from catastrophic damage in the case of an in-wall or in-ceiling leak of my water system. Additionally, I have 10 wireless leak sensors placed all around my house under each appliance, water/sewer back-up point, sink, toilet, and bath that will turn off the water immediately in the case of a leak in one of these areas. The LP365 combined with this wireless system gives me the confidence to state with absolute certainty that my house is fully protected against large floods. The LP365 data is also being brought in to my homeassistant using the Frizzlife API and Xtend-Tuya integration so that I can see weekly/monthly/yearly statistics of my water usage. This protects me from over-billing by the utility. On top of all of this, I was very happy with the customer service that I received after losing one of the gaskets for the valve. This customer service representative was quick to send me out a spare set of gaskets, and on top of that it was sent free of charge. I highly recommend this valve both for peace of mind, its reliability and flow-meter accuracy so far, and also for its ability to be integrated into your home automation platform if you are willing to do the research and put in the work. I am an industrial instrumentation specialist so I have some knowledge about different types of flow-meters. This valve VS. the leading competitor (the Moen FLO) is hands down the better all around choice. This is because the LP365 has an ultrasonic flowmeter, which is both much more sensitive to small flows than the Moen FLO’s turbine meter. It is also more reliable because unlike the FLO, it contains no moving parts, so will not crust up and malfunction given time like the FLO’s turbine meter will. This is especially true if you have hard water. And the frizzlife does all of this for 50% of the cost of the flo.In my opinion, there is no better water shut-off valve on the market.

Very surprised with the functionality of this device (LP365-P) for the price. I’ve had it for 3 months now.I managed to get it working with HomeAssistant using the tuya_local integration and created a yaml file. The details are in the HomeAssistant forums to help others get this working. And, it’s been great as I now have long term local history of my water usage!I have found no downsides. It’s already identified one toilet fill valve that was beginning to leak and highlighted a water regulator that is not longer adjustable.Benefits:o Includes water flow, temperature and pressure sensorso Can be integrated into HomeAssistanto If AC power drops, it will continue to monitor for months (minus wifi), and turn off water if a problem occurs, to keep your home leakproof.Highly recommended.NOTE: I think others have discovered this amazing deal as the LP365-P (pressure version) is now sold out, and will take a month or two to get restocked.
