Great for smart home stuff
Using this as a switch for custom smart home devices. They work perfectly and have just the right amount of sensitivity. Now I have the window mount AC set to turn off when am the door for the room is left open for too long

ok, not great. 2 out of 10 were DOA
Well, for starters, two out of the 10 in the pack were defective. Not a good start, specially since I wired up the first one and everything was good. Wired up the second one and nothing seemed to work right. Took a while to accept the possibility that the “new” sensor was DOA, which it was.Figured, I’d save myself the pain and test the remaining and found another defective one. Which raises the interesting question on product quality, and how long the non-defective ones will work. Also, I’m sure the terminology for NC and NO is reversed here. Consider it a switch – NC or normally closed would imply that the switch is closed and conducts a signal/electricity, and NO would not. In its “normal” state, i.e. without actuation this does not conduct so I’d think this should be labeled as NO. The description and pictures do explain how it works, so take a minute to verify.

Every single one was defective
The bag contains 10 magnet sides and ten switch sides. All the switches are supposed to be open when the magnet is away and closed when near. Installed a few and they weren’t working. Opened every single one and the switches were all stuck closed. The magnets had no effect on the circuit whatsoever. To late to return. Waste of money.

Alarm door sensors
A little thinner grade compared to my original but they work fine that’s all that matters price very reasonable and now I have plenty extras

NC Magnetic Reed switch
Definition of NC for a switch ( in electronic engineering) would be that the switch is closed when not energized/ quiescent state — here NC means closed when magnet is close by — this is backward of expected. Other than that the product is great , well designed and manufactured.

Need additional magnets>
I needed extra magnets for my simply safe system and saw these and hoped they word work since they were less than half the price of the Simply Safe magnets. They worked just fine using a dab of hot glue instead of screws.

Cheap enough if one or two are defective
One of these failed out of the box, which I guess is ok since they are so cheap. They also don’t have much range with enclosed magnets, and I had to add my own to get my sensors to work in some cases.

Poor Quality
Out of 4 switches that I tried, one is always closed, and another one has a screw that won’t loosen to screw a wire onto it.
