Absolutely wonderful! I have a Christmas tree in my room. I’ll keep it on before bed, but shut it off to sleep. This little remote means I can turn my tree lights on and off from bed. No more stubbing my toe walking through the dark. Just a quick push of a button and voila! Installation is a breeze, just plug the box into the outlet and plug the cord into that.

Still A Place In This World For “Dumb” Technology
I do like smart plugs and I certainly have my share of them inside and outside my home to control lights and fountains, but sometimes I want/need the simplicity of plug-n-play without connecting to WI-FI or installing yet another app on my phone. I am using this to power both an Aiyima mini amp and its DIY cooling stand that are on my desktop, so now they come on and go off in unison with the press of a single button. This allows me to leave the receiver’s volume where I like it and eliminates excessive wear and tear to the potentiometer. No phone app. No WI-FI. No talking to a dot device. Just old-school button pressing. This works exactly as expected and does not require line of sight to transmit the signal, and the compact size makes it easy to plug into a crowded surge protector. Good product and good value.

Not Compatible for My Purposes
It sort of works, but once plugged into the plug included, the lamp cannot be turned off or on by its own switch. That is very inconvenient. Also the plug is large.I bought it to use with a lamp in which the remote stopped working. This product would not work with that lamp even though it was plugged into the outlet that came with this product. Not this product’s fault, but good to know.
